Haulage for construction

A construction HIAB company for heavy site materials

Hiab Haulage carries materials for builders, groundworkers, civil engineering contractors, merchants and manufacturers. We are based in Manchester and deliver to sites across England, Scotland and Wales, from city centre plots to new housing estates and infrastructure schemes.

Our lorries carry their own lifting arm, so materials come off the lorry in a controlled lift and land exactly where you want them, close to where the work is happening. That saves time moving loads around the site later.

  • Bulk bags of aggregate, sand and cement
  • Pallets of blocks, bricks and paving
  • Drainage pipes, ducting and chambers
  • Fencing panels, hoarding and barriers

Pipes and timber

HIAB timber delivery and long materials

Long and awkward loads such as steel pipes, timber packs, trusses and scaffold tube are easier to handle when the lorry can lift them off. Our drivers sling each pack carefully and set it down level on bearers, ready to use.

Before we confirm a booking we ask what the materials are, how they are packed and where on site they need to go. Tell us about:

  • The materials and how they are packed
  • The site address and any booking slot
  • Where the loads should land
  • Gates, site rules and overhead cables

Send the details and up to four photos through the construction delivery quote form.

Every kind of site load

Rigid HIABs suit most site drops. Wagon and drag HIABs, artic HIABs and articulated flatbeds handle larger runs from merchants, manufacturers and depots.

Construction delivery questions

What does a construction HIAB company deliver?

We deliver the heavy and bulky materials a site needs: pipes, timber, fencing, bulk bags, precast, steel, pallets and site equipment. The lorry lifts each load off and lands it where you want it.

Can you deliver timber?

Yes. Timber packs, joists, trusses and frames travel on our HIABs and are lifted off in packs so they are easy to handle on site.

Can you deliver to more than one drop point on a large site?

Yes. Tell us where each pack or pallet needs to land and we will plan the drops with you, lifting each one off close to where it will be used.

Can you work to delivery windows on site?

Yes. Tell us the booking slot, the site rules and where the materials need landing, and we will plan the run to arrive on time.

Do you offer trade accounts for contractors?

Yes. A trade account gives you one monthly invoice, with each job still priced on its own. Email us to ask for the trade account form.

Materials to get to site?

Send us the site address, what needs delivering and where it should land, with a photo if you can. We will plan the run and send you a price.
