Container transport with our own HIAB lorries
A container is one of the simplest loads to move with a HIAB, because the lorry does the whole job. Our driver lifts the container onto the bed, carries it to your site and lifts it off again exactly where you want it, whether that is beside a site compound, behind a shop or at the back of a yard.
We move containers for builders, hire companies, farms, schools, sports clubs, retailers and private customers. From our Manchester base we cover the whole of England, Scotland and Wales, so a container can be collected in one part of the country and delivered in another.
- Shipping containers and storage containers
- Converted containers such as offices, welfare units and kiosks
- Collections from ports, depots, yards and customer sites
- Site to site moves and relocations

Every container move is planned first
Before we confirm a booking we ask about the container, the collection point and the delivery point. That lets us send the right vehicle and make sure the driver can position the lorry and set the stabilisers safely when it arrives.
It helps to tell us:
- The collection and delivery addresses
- The type of container and whether it is empty or loaded
- Where the container needs to sit and how the lorry gets in
- Any overhead cables, gates or tight access
Photos of the delivery spot are the quickest way for us to understand the job. You can add up to four photos to the container transport quote form.

Containers delivered across the UK
Containers travel on rigid HIABs, wagon and drag combinations and artic HIABs, depending on the size of the load and the access at the delivery point.

From one site to anywhere in Great Britain
Our drivers deliver containers to city centre sites, industrial estates, farms, sports grounds and coastal locations. Whether your container is going a few miles across Manchester or the length of the country, the job is planned in the same way.
We regularly work in:
- England
- Scotland
- Wales
- Manchester and the North West
- Yorkshire
- North East
- Midlands
- South, East and South West

Container transport questions
Can a HIAB lorry deliver a shipping container?
Yes. HIAB container transport is one of our most regular jobs. The lorry carries the container and its own lifting arm sets it down at the delivery point, so you do not need separate lifting equipment on site.
Can you move a container that is already on site?
Yes. We collect containers from yards, ports, depots and sites, and move them between locations. Tell us where the container is now and where it needs to go.
What do you need to know before quoting?
The collection and delivery addresses, the type of container, whether it is empty or loaded, and what the access is like at both ends. Photos of the delivery spot are a great help.
Do you deliver containers outside the North West?
Yes. We are based in Manchester and deliver containers across England, Scotland and Wales.
Do you offer container haulage in Manchester?
Yes. Our depot is on New Street in Miles Platting, so container transport in Manchester and across the North West is close to home for our drivers. We collect and deliver containers around Greater Manchester as well as running them to the rest of the UK.
Can you collect a container and deliver it to another region?
Yes. A container can be collected in one part of the country and delivered in another, for example from a port or depot to a site in Scotland, Wales or the South. We plan the run and the lift at both ends before the lorry is booked.
Need a container moved?
Send us the collection and delivery addresses, the container type and a photo of where it needs to go. We will plan the move and send you a price.
