Hiab Haulage is a specialist HIAB haulier and HIAB transport company, running our own HIAB lorries from Manchester to building sites, factories, depots, events and private premises in every part of Great Britain. Our drivers handle loads in city centres, on industrial estates, at ports and in remote rural locations, from the South coast to the Scottish Highlands.

Because the lorry carries its own lifting arm, there is no need to hire separate lifting equipment for the delivery. The driver positions the vehicle, sets the stabilisers and lifts the load into place, then you sign it off and the lorry is on its way.

From your enquiry to the load set down

Every lift is planned before the lorry is booked. We ask the questions up front so the right vehicle turns up and the job runs to time.

HIAB haulage questions

What is HIAB haulage?

HIAB haulage is road transport on a lorry that carries its own lorry mounted lifting arm. The same vehicle collects the load, carries it and lifts it off at the delivery point, so you do not need to arrange separate lifting equipment on site.

Do you only work in Manchester and the North West?

No. Our base is in Manchester, but we deliver across England, Scotland and Wales. Tell us the collection and delivery addresses and we will plan the run.

What can you carry and lift?

Containers, portable cabins, welfare units, modular buildings, machinery, steel, precast concrete, tanks, generators, kiosks, glamping pods and construction materials are among our most regular loads. If you are not sure, send us the details and some photos.

How do I get a price?

Use the quote form or email us with the collection and delivery points, a description of the load and any photos of the site. Every job is priced on its own and planned before the lorry is booked.

Do you offer trade accounts?

Yes. Regular customers can open a trade account so they receive one invoice each month rather than one per job. Each job is still priced individually. Email us and ask for the trade account form.

Do you use your own HIAB lorries?

Yes. Hiab Haulage is a HIAB transport company running its own lorries and drivers from our depot in Manchester, so the vehicle that arrives is one of ours and the driver is trained to use its lifting arm.

How much does HIAB haulage cost?

The price depends on the load, the distance between collection and delivery, the vehicle needed and how straightforward the lift is at each end. Every job is priced on its own, so send us the addresses, a description of the load and a few photos and we will come back to you with a price.
