East and West Midlands
Large tanks into Birmingham, cabins along the M5 and units lifted in at hospital sites. Our lorries and drivers work in every part of the Midlands.
The artic at the top of this page is carrying a large steel tank on its way from the Wirral to Birmingham. A load like this is planned in detail long before the lorry is booked.
We look at how the tank will be lifted at collection, how it sits and is secured on the trailer, the route into the delivery site and where it will be set down. Where a tank is long or awkward to handle, two HIABs can share the lift.
Tanks are just one part of our Midlands work. We also carry storage tanks and silos, generators and plant room units and factory machinery for manufacturers across the region.

We treat the East and West Midlands as one patch, so a load can be collected in one and delivered in the other as a single planned job.

The cities of Derby, Nottingham and Leicester, with Northampton to the south and Lincoln to the east.
Some delivery points have something overhead to think about. In Worcester, one of our HIABs worked beneath the M5 viaduct, where the lift had to be planned around the structure above.
Jobs like this start with good information. Send us photos of the delivery point, tell us about any bridges, canopies, cables or trees, and describe where the load needs to sit. We then decide on the vehicle and the way the load will be lifted before the booking is confirmed.

Midlands work covers everything from a single boiler for a plant room to a full set of cabins for a new compound. Rigid HIABs suit single items such as boilers and drums, while artics carry several site cabins in one trip for larger projects.

We have lifted units into place at hospital sites, including the one in Shrewsbury shown here, where a wrapped unit is being lifted. Work at hospitals, schools and council sites needs agreed timings, a clear lifting area and a driver who is used to working around the public.
Our fleet is FORS Bronze accredited and our drivers hold CPCS cards, which gives site managers confidence before we arrive. For new buildings and extra space, see our modular building installation and portable cabin transport pages.
Regular Midlands customers can open a trade account for one invoice each month, with each job still priced on its own. To plan your job, send us your load details for a quote.
