Wagon and drag carrying cabins along an English road

England

HIAB haulage in England, from city kerbs to major projects

From London streets to frames destined for Hinkley Point, our lorries collect, carry and lift loads in every English county, with one trained driver on each job.

Major projects

Large frames, two lorries, one plan

England keeps us busy with a huge range of work, and some of it is on a very large scale. The photograph here shows two of our HIABs lifting frames destined for Hinkley Point. Long or awkward loads like these are handled as a dual HIAB lift, with both lorries and both drivers working to one agreed plan so the load stays level and under control.

Projects of that size sit alongside everyday work: a single cabin for a builder, a container for a garden centre, a set of gates for a private house. Each one gets the same attention, because each lift is planned before the vehicle is booked.

If you are contacting HIAB companies for a price on a large job, the most useful thing you can send is a clear description of the load, the collection point and the delivery point, ideally with photos.

Streets, stations and landmark sites

A lot of English work happens in tight urban spaces. Our drivers deliver to kerbside spots on busy streets, rail sidings and landmark venues such as the Olympic Park in London, and our FORS Bronze accredited fleet is set up for safe city driving. We plan around loading restrictions, access times and the people working nearby.

Phased deliveries

HIAB haulage in England for site set-ups and phased work

Big projects rarely need everything on day one. For a flyover project near Peterborough we delivered site units that were stacked to make the most of the compound. Work like this is usually phased: the first units arrive as the site opens, more follow as the workforce grows, and the lot is collected again when the job is finished.

We plan each phase with the site team so that deliveries arrive in the right order and each unit goes straight into its agreed position.

Why customers book us

What every English job gets from us

We are a Manchester based HIAB company with our own lorries and our own drivers. The way we work stays the same in every postcode.

Planning before booking

We look at the load, the route and the delivery point before the lorry is booked, so the right vehicle arrives on the day.

Trained, carded drivers

Our drivers hold CPCS cards and follow ALLMI guidance. Lifting loads into position is what they do every working day.

A vehicle for each job

Rigid, wagon and drag and artic HIABs, low loaders and flatbeds, plus our HIAB delivery service for one-off loads.

Questions from customers in England

Do you provide HIAB haulage in England outside the North West?

Yes. Our base is in Manchester and our lorries deliver to sites all over England, from Cumbria to Cornwall and from Kent to Northumberland.

Can you handle loads for large infrastructure projects?

Yes. We deliver frames, site units and steel to major projects, including dual lifts with two HIABs where a load is long or awkward. Each lift is planned before the vehicles are booked.

Can you deliver to a city centre street?

Yes. Kerbside deliveries are routine for our drivers. Tell us about parking, loading restrictions and where the load needs to go, and we will plan around them.

What should I send when asking for a quote?

The collection and delivery addresses, a description of the load and up to four photos of the delivery point. That gives us what we need to plan the job and price it.

Do you offer trade accounts for regular work in England?

Yes. Each job is still priced on its own, and you receive one invoice each month. Email us and ask for the trade account form.

Planning a delivery in England?

Tell us what needs moving, where it is and where it is going, and add a few photos of the site. We will plan the lift and come back to you with a price.
